UNITRADING GROUP

Who does Unitrading Group work with?

The Group works with food producers and SMEs, Modern Retail and Ho.Re.Ca. operators, food industry professionals and, through some of its companies, food enthusiasts and consumers.

Which Group company is best suited to my needs?

It depends on your goals. Avvalora focuses on enhancing the value of products and their supply chains through standards and controls; Unitrading Food Projects develops projects and connections between producers, Modern Retail and Ho.Re.Ca.; Parmador selects and offers outstanding food products from Parma’s Food Valley; UniSaFo focuses on training and promoting the culture of cured meats and cheeses.

What are the benefits of working with Unitrading Group?

The advantage is that you can start from your goal rather than having to search for a single solution. Thanks to an ecosystem of companies specialising in the food sector, Unitrading Group can approach each need from different perspectives and bring together the expertise best suited to each project.

This means less fragmentation, greater coordination and a more comprehensive approach, bringing together product, supply chain, distribution, market and training within the same journey.

AVVALORA

What requirements must a product meet to obtain the Avvalora mark?

The product must come from farms that guarantee consistently high quality throughout every stage of the supply chain, from origin to packaging. Each stage must meet Avvalora’s requirements, ensuring continuity, control and attention throughout the entire product journey.

What benefits does Avvalora offer my company?

Avvalora enables companies to enhance and make the quality of their products more recognisable through a controlled process, from animal feed and the raw materials used to the production process and complete ageing. The mark identifies a product with distinctive and verifiable quality, providing companies with a practical tool to differentiate their offering and communicate its value to both the market and consumers.

How much does it cost to join Avvalora?

The cost varies depending on the type of product and the characteristics of the project. The first step is therefore to speak with the Avvalora team to define the product to be enhanced, the most suitable process, the timeframe and the related costs.

UNITRADING FOOD PROJECTS

What types of companies does Unitrading Food Projects work with?

Unitrading Food Projects works with companies in the food sector without considering company size as the main selection criterion. The focus is on the project and the product: its authenticity, the values it represents, its distinctive characteristics and its potential in the market. Unitrading Food Projects assesses each company based on the quality and strength of its proposal, identifying projects with the potential to create tangible growth opportunities.

What are the benefits for a producer of working with Unitrading Food Projects?

For producers, the value of Unitrading Food Projects lies in its in-depth knowledge of the market and distribution dynamics. What are the benefits for a Modern Retail Group of working with Unitrading Food Projects?

Unitrading Food Projects acts as a true partner for Modern Retail Groups, developing tailor-made products to meet specific market needs. Thanks to an extensive network of producers and its knowledge of territories, raw materials, production techniques and technologies, UFP identifies the most suitable solutions to turn a specific need into a concrete and competitive product.

PARMADOR

Can I propose my product to Parmador?

Yes, if you are a producer based in Parma or the Food Valley and offer an authentic product that reflects the identity of the territory. Each proposal is personally evaluated and selected by Claudio Cimardi, founder of Parmador.

What makes Parmador products different from other traditional products from the region?

The difference lies in the selection. Every Parmador product is personally chosen by Claudio Cimardi, who grew up immersed in the world of cured meats and cheeses and has always pursued one goal: to create a selection of special, traditional products capable of bringing consumers the authentic flavours of the past.

Is Parmador only for private consumers?

No. Parmador serves both private consumers and the B2B market, with a particular focus on small restaurants and foodservice businesses looking to offer authentic, carefully selected products from the Food Valley.

UNISAFO

Does UniSaFo offer customised training programmes for companies and professionals?

Yes. UniSaFo primarily works with professionals from Modern Retail and Ho.Re.Ca., but also offers programmes for food enthusiasts and companies wishing to provide their teams with an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of cured meats and cheeses, including as part of team-building activities. Each course can be customised and tailored to specific needs, objectives and the desired level of detail. Courses generally also include tasting sessions.

Does UniSaFo also organise courses directly at companies’ premises?

Yes. UniSaFo can organise courses and training programmes for Modern Retail Groups directly at their headquarters or selected stores. Format, content and organisational aspects are agreed in advance with the UniSaFo team to create an experience tailored to the Group’s specific needs.

Do the courses include practical activities as well as theory?

Yes. UniSaFo courses combine theoretical learning with hands-on experience. Lessons at UniSaFo are complemented by practical laboratory activities and, depending on the programme, guided visits to farms, slaughterhouses, dairies and cured ham production facilities. This approach provides an in-depth understanding of cured meats and cheeses through direct contact with the products and the different stages and operators of the supply chain.
